Sound of Crunching Snow

stillness broken
by the sound of crunching snow
as coyotes race by

blur of wild fur
they pause - - - - -
to stare at me

  1. __ I like this scene; I can see the eyes. Your two haiku could stand as they are, or be joined as sedoka.

    __What new life?

  2. I took a job counting birds in Wyoming this week. I will be living in my tent in some of our countries most beautiful places this summer. It should inspire great haiku! Subjects being bears, birds, and my fear of the dark I'm sure.

I will have to look up sedoka. Haiku usually comes to me in waves of 3 or 4, I can't just post one a day. They usually paint the whole picture of what I expirenced.

__I guess you'll be writing by candle light (candle write?)... . I'm impressed by your life's choices, and I hope, when that time comes, you'll be able to keep us informed.
